
Here at Eurovision Ireland, we are taking a historical look back on our favourite Contests past and present, on the very day they took place. Today it’s February 15th:
Saturday 15th February 1975
On this day in 1975, the 15th edition of Melodifestivalen took place in Gothenburg. Lasse Berghagen took victory with “Jennie, Jennie” and 117 points. At the 1975 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm, Lasse finished 8th, with 72 points.
