In this series, we’ll be talking to someone and asking them to pick five songs (over five days) that mean something to them. These may not be their top five songs of all time – merely songs that attach to a specific memory or time in their life.

Richard from Eurovision Ireland continues this series. What’s his third choice, and what’s the story behind it?

Jamie-Lee – Ghost

Following two years with the great team at Eurovoix, where Anthony welcomed me into the Eurovision Media world, I moved to Eurovision Ireland ahead of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. While I had conducted interviews at Eurovoix, they were conducted using voice recordings and then the questions and answers typed out in an article. This was all about to change…

Once I moved over to Eurovision Ireland, interviews were conducted on-screen. My first on-screen interview was truly awful, but you learn from any mistakes made in any job. I first on-screen interview was Jamie-Lee, the German representative in Stockholm. She performed Ghost – finishing in 26th and last place.
