VRT, the Flemish-language Belgian national broadcaster, have confirmed their continued non-participation at the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

VRT will not participate at the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. RTBF, the French-language Belgian national broadcaster, has yet to make a decision on participation. Annemie Gulickx, Ketnet’s Programming Director, had the following to say:

“The broadcaster does not intend to return to the contest in the 2026 edition.”
