
TG4 the Irish national broadcaster, have confirmed participation, at the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
TG4 have opened applications for Junior Eurovision Éire 2026 and will remain open until Saturday 28th February. Applications can be made HERE. The rules for applications are as follows:
- Applicants may not sing songs from musicals in their application videos.
- Participants must be aged between 9 and 14 on the date of competition in Autumn 2026.
- The studio round will take place in Dublin.
- Soloists, duets and groups of up six people can take part.
- Participants must be Irish citizens or residents.
- Applicants must submit a 40-second clip of themselves singing a cover version of a song.
The format of Junior Eurovision Éire 2026 will remain as the one introduced in 2024. Auditions will take place throughout the country. From these auditions, 10 singers will be chosen to advance to the studio round. The 10 entrants will compete over several shows in the studio round until one entrant is chosen as the Irish representative.
