
MTVA, the Hungarian national broadcaster, have announced when A Dal 2026 will commence.
MTVA have announced that A Dal 2026 will commence on Saturday 14th February. In the Heats, four jurors will evaluate each of the songs after they have performed, where all thirty performers will progress to the Semi Finals. In each of the Semi Finals, the jury and public can award between 1 and 10 points to each act.
The top two acts with the jury and public in each Semi Final, will automatically qualify, a third finalist will be the act that receives the most votes from the remaining eight acts that did not qualify. The winner will receive the ability to record an album and music video to the value of 10 million forints.
A Dal started as the Hungarian national selection show for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. Since their withdrawal from the Eurovision Song Contest, A Dal has continued as a standalone competition – with 2026 been the fourteenth season.
