NRK, the Norwegian national broadcaster, have confirmed their continued non-participation at the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
While NRK planned to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2025, they will once again stay away due to a lack of a national final. Joakim Vedeler, Director of Children’s Content Strategy at NRK, had the following to say:
“We also won’t have a Junior Eurovision national final in 2026. The next few years are still undecided, but it’s very likely that the contest won’t return in the next few years.”
