RTCG, the Montenegrin national broadcaster, have revealed the date for Montesong 2025 – their national selection for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, in Vienna.
RTCG, have revealed that Montesong 2025 will take place on Sunday 21st December – from the RTCG Studios. Discussions were held regarding organising the selection at a venue in Podgorica or in another city in Montenegro. However, the additional expense was not viable logistically or financially. Vladana Vučinić, the Executive Producer of Montesong, had the following to say:
“It is true that Montesong is a kind of synonym for the Montenegrin selection of a representative at the world’s largest music competition – Eurovision, but we also see this festival as a platform for the promotion of the Montenegrin music scene, Montenegrin artists. All public broadcasters in the region invest even more money in festivals and selections of a similar nature, and therefore in the development of the national music scene. This is the obligation of the Public Service of Montenegro.”
