LSM, the Latvian national broadcaster, has revealed the number of song submissions for Supernova 2026 – their national selection for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, in Vienna.
LSM have revealed that they have received 124 song submissions ahead of Supernova 2026 – 28 up from 2025, when 96 song submissions were made. Agnese Štrause-Kubliņa, Head of Entertainment and Documentary Content at Latvijas Televīzijas, had the following to say:
“I’m glad that musicians appreciate Supernova. There are more songs than last year, which shows that the desire to bring Latvia’s name to the world, the Eurovision audience in the millions, and the achievements so far have obviously encouraged many to apply. In addition, the variety of genres is very wide – from country music to energetic rock compositions. Viewers will have the opportunity to experience exciting shows. Thank you to everyone for their hard work!”
