FOLLOWING Gert Kark taking up the position as the EBU representative, the Junior Eurovision Song Contest Steering Group had been updated ahead of the 2025 Contest. The Dutch national broadcaster, AVROTROS, the Italian national broadcaster, Rai and the Portuguese national broadcaster, RTP, are no longer represented. The current Steering Group consists of the following members:

• EBU: Gert Kark – EBU Executive Supervisor
• France (France TV): Alexandra Redde – Chair of the Steering Group
• Georgia (GPB): Natia Msvenieradze – Organiser in 2025
• Spain (RTVE): Ana Maria Bordas – Organiser in 2024
• Armenia (AMPTV): David Tserunyan
• Malta (PBS): Gordon Bonello
• Poland (TVP): Marta Piekarska

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest Steering Group has the following purpose:

• Secure the format of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
• Modernise the brand and raising the awareness of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
• Overlook the yearly preparation by the Host Broadcaster
