SMRTV, the Sammarinese national broadcaster, have revealed format changes to the 2026 San Marino Song Contest – their national selection for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, in Vienna.
The San Marino Song Contest will now be modelled on the Eurovision Song Contest. As well as a live Grand Final, two live Semi Finals will now take place. While ‘Una Voce per San Marino’ formed the Semi Final stage in 2025, it is currently unclear whether or not it will continue within the national selection process for 2026.
SMRTV have also made changes to their delegation for the Eurovision Song Contest. Denny Montesi (Media Evolution’s CEO) has been announced as the Head of Delegation, replacing Alessandro Capicchioni, who had held the role since their debut. Four time representative, Valentina Monetta, will also join as an Ambassador.
