Rai, the Italian national broadcaster, have secured an agreement with the City of Sanremo, to continue the hosting of Festival della canzone italiana.
The agreement with RAI and the City of Sanremo, has an option for a two-year extension. This situation has occurred since RAI had to participate in a tender process for the first time to organise the Festival di Sanremo.
RAI have PREVIOUSLY confirmed that Festival di Sanremo will take place from Tuesday 24th to Saturday 28th February. It is currently unclear whether or not RAI will use Sanremo to determine the Italian representative for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, in Vienna.
