TVR, the Romanian national broadcaster, have revealed they remain undecided on participation, at the 2025 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Tbilisi.
TVR had the following to say to ESCspot:
“TVR has not yet made a decision on its participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025.”
Dan Turturică, Director of Romania’s Public Broadcaster, TVR, has PREVIOUSLY stated a reset in relation with music producers is required before they can return to the Eurovision Song Contest. TVR withdrew ahead of the 2024 Contest citing financial reasons.
Could TVR seeking a participation solution along the same lines of MRT, of North Macedonia? Since withdrawing from the Eurovision Song Contest, MRT have continued participating at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest – mainly due to a smaller financial outlay. It remains to be seen whether or not Romania will join the line-up in Tbilisi.
