SMRTV, the Sammarinese national broadcaster, have revealed that participation at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, is still under consideration.

Roberto Sergio, General Director of SMRTV, stated that daily discussions are still taking place with the EBU, the European Broadcasting Union, in regards to the perplexities around the voting methods of the juries and the televoters at home. Common ground between SMRTV and the EBU has yet to be found.
