
Suspilne, the Ukrainian national broadcaster, have revealed the number of applications received for Natsvidbir na Dytiache Yevrobachennia – their national selection for the 2025 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Tbilisi.
Suspilne have revealed that of the 510 applications, 492 were solo performers and 18 were groups; while 82% of applications were from female singers and 18% were from male singers. Around 10% of the applications also submitted an original song. Applications were submitted from 17 countries (including the UK, Switzerland, Poland & the USA); while applications were up by 201, when compared to 2024.
Svitlana Tarabarova, Music Producer for Natsvidbir na Dytiache Yevrobachennia 2025, had the following to say:
“This year’s National Selection broke all records: 510 applications! 34 covers for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 “Bird Of Pray”. Children from 17 countries around the world dream of representing Ukraine at Eurovision – it’s incredibly inspiring. We are grateful to everyone who dared to submit an application. This shows incredible trust and interest in Ukraine’s participation in Junior Eurovision. Thank you for your trust!”
