For the artist selection, the following rules apply:

- Artists must be Cypriot citizens.
- Artists must submit a photo of themselves, a cover version of any previously released song and solemn declaration of a guardian.
- Artists may only submit one application.
Applicants will be assessed on their vocal abilities, stage presence and ability to perform a song. A number of artists will be invited to live auditions, where a jury (3 adults and 2 children) will award points in the style of Eurovision (12, 10, 8-1). The artist with the most points will go on to represent Cyprus in Tbilisi. In case of a tie, the artist who received the most sets of 12 points will be declared the winner.
