
SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, have confirmed participation at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest.
SVT have confirmed that Melodifestivalen will be used, as is tradition. Launched in 1959, Melodifestivalen has been held, with the exception of 1964 due to a strike, 1970 & 1976 due to withdrawal. As the Eurovision Song Contest celebrate’s its 70th anniversary, Sweden will be celebrating their 65th participation. Further details surrounding the 2026 participation, will be announced in due course.
