PBS, the Maltese national broadcaster, have confirmed their participation at the 2025 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Tbilisi.
Alongside confirmation of their participation, The Voice Kids will be used as the new national selection, rather than the Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest (MJESC). The winner of The Voice Kids will go on to represent Malta in Tbilisi. A selection of the application rules are:
- Artists must be aged between 9 and 14 on Saturday 13th December 2025.
- Original songs must be in English and/or Maltese. Other languages may be used in songs, provided they do not count for more than 40% of the lyrics.
- Artists may sing both covers and original songs during their participation, but they must perform their potential Junior Eurovision entries during the final.
- Songs must suit the performer. It is recommended that the artists are involved in the songwriting process.
- The Maltese representative for Junior Eurovision 2024, Ramires Sciberras, may not apply.
Applicants must apply with an original song, which will be their potential Junior Eurovision Song Contest entry. The full rules and application link are available HERE.
