
This year at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel, we will be looking back at Switzerland since their first participation. Today we begin with 1985.
1985 – “Piano, piano”
In 1985, when the Contest was held in Gothenburg, Sweden, Mariella Farré & Pino Gasparini represented Switzerland with “Piano, piano”. Mariella & Pino finished in 12th place and 39 points.
1986 – “Pas pour moi”
In 1986, when the Contest was held in Bergen, Norway, Daniela Simmons represented Switzerland with “Pas pour moi”. Daniela finished in 2nd place and 140 points.
1987 – “Moitié moitié”
In 1987, when the Contest was held in Brussels, Belgium, Carol Rich represented Switzerland with “Moitié moitié”. Carol finished in 17th place and 26 points.
1988 – “Ne partez pas sans moi”
In 1988, when the Contest was held in Dublin, Ireland, Celine Dion represented Switzerland with “Ne partez pas sans moi”. Celine finished in 1st place and 137 points.
1989 – “Viver senza tei”
In 1989, when the Contest was held in Lausanne, Switzerland, Furbaz represented Switzerland with “Viver senza tei”. Furbaz finished in 13th place and 47 points.
1990 – “Musik klingt in die welt hinaus”
In 1990, when the Contest was held in Zagreb, Yugoslavia, Egon Egemann represented Switzerland with “Musik klingt in die welt hinaus”. Egon finished in 11th place and 51 points.
