Saturday 13th May 2023
On this day in 2023, the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Liverpool, the United Kingdom. Sweden took victory with Loreen performing “Tattoo” and 583 points.
Saturday 13th May 2017
On this day in 2017, the 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Kyiv, Ukraine. Portugal took victory with Salvador Sobral performing “Amar pelos dois” and 758 points.
Saturday 13th May 2000
On this day in 2000, the 45th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Stockholm, Sweden. Latvia debuted, while Finland, North Macedonia, Romania, Russia & Switzerland all returned. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal & Slovenia all withdrew from the Contest. Denmark took victory with the Olsen Brothers performing “Fly on the Wings of Love” and 195 points.
Saturday 13th May 1995
On this day in 1995, the 40th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Dublin, Ireland. Belgium, Denmark, Israel, Slovenia and Turkey all returned, while Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Romania, Slovakia and Switzerland all withdrew from the Contest. Norway took victory with Secret Garden performing “Nocturne” and 148 points.
