This year at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel, we will be looking back at Switzerland since their first participation. Today we begin with 1973.

1973 – “Je vais me marier, Marie”

In 1973, when the Contest was held in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, Patrick Juvet represented Switzerland with “Je vais me marier, Marie”. Patrick finished in 12th place and 79 points.

1974 – “Mein Ruf nach dir”

In 1974, when the Contest was held in Brighton, the United Kingdom, Piera Martell represented Switzerland with “Mein Ruf nach dir”. Piera finished in 14th place and 3 points.

1975 – “Mikado”

In 1975, when the Contest was held in Stockholm, Sweden, Simone Drexel represented Switzerland with “Mikado”. Simone finished in 6th place and 77 points.

1976 – “Djambo Djambo”

In 1976, when the Contest was held in The Hague, the Netherlands, Peter, Sue & Marc represented Switzerland with “Djambo Djambo”. Peter, Sue & Marc finished in 4th place and 91 points.

1977 – “Swiss Lady”

In 1977, when the Contest was held in London, the United Kingdom, the Pepe Lienhard Band represented Switzerland with “Swiss Lady”. The Pepe Lienhard Band finished in 6th place and 71 points.

1978 – “Vivre”

In 1978, when the Contest was held in Paris, France, Carole Vinci represented Switzerland with “C’est la chanson de mon amour”. Carole finished in 9th place and 65 points.
