This year, as we have in recent years, we have had a slightly different start to the Eurovision Song Contest. We haven’t got access to the first week of rehearsals. We have hopefully adapted to this to bring you the coverage you have all grown to expect.
Day 6 saw our five countries in a day tour. Starting off from our base in France, we travelled across Switzerland before arriving in Vaduz, Liechtenstein. You can walk from one end of Vaduz to the other in 15 minutes. We were there for 2 hours! – well drink, cake and souvenir shopping was required too. From Liechtenstein, we crossed over to Austria, where we visited Feldkirch & Bregenz, before heding over to Germany, where we stopped off in Friedrichshafen. On the way back to France, we stopped off in Switzerland to see the Rheinfalls.
Day 7 was a little bit more straight forward. We collected our Press Accreditation ahead of the Turquoise Carpet and Media Centre on Sunday, before heading out for a gentle stroll around the French village where we are based. An interview with Klemen from Slovenia was also conducted – watch out for it here on the website and YOUTUBE.
Day 8, today, has been a far more relaxed affair. We had a BBQ with a couple of our Australian friends. John and James have also headed into Basel to interview Justyna Steczkowska from Poland – watch out for it here on the website and YOUTUBE.
Tomorrow we have the Turquoise Carpet!
As of Sunday, the team members coming to Basel from Eurovision Ireland, OnEurope and All Out Eurovision are now all under the same roof, ready to bring you the quality original content you expect from our coverage.
