🇮🇪 #IRELAND: 60 Years At Eurovision – Part 4/10

This year at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel, Ireland will be marking 60 years since their first participation. Today we continue with 1984.

1984 – “Terminal 3”

In 1984, when the Contest was held in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, Linda Martin represented Ireland with “Terminal 3”. Linda finished in 2nd place and 137 points.

1985 – “Wait Until the Weekend Comes”

In 1985, when the Contest was held in Gothenburg, Sweden, Maria Christian represented Ireland with “Wait Until the Weekend Comes”. Maria finished in 6th place and 91 points.

1986 – “You Can Count On Me”

In 1986, when the Contest was held in Bergen, Norway, Luv Bug represented Ireland with “You Can Count On Me”. Luv Bug finished in 4th place and 96 points.

1987 – “Hold Me Now”

In 1987, when the Contest was held in Brussels, Belgium, Johnny Logan represented Ireland with “Hold Me Now”. Johnny finished in 1st place and 172 points.

1988 – “Take Him Home”

In 1988, when the Contest was held in Dublin, Ireland, Jump the Gun represented Ireland with “Take Him Home”. Jump the Gun finished in 8th place and 79 points.

1989 – “The Real Me”

In 1989, when the Contest was held in Lausanne, Switzerland, Kiev Connolly & the Missing Passengers represented Ireland with “The Real Me”. Kiev finished in 18th place and 21 points.
