Here at Eurovision Ireland, we are taking a historical look back on our favourite Contests past and present, on the very day they took place. Today it’s March 23rd:

Saturday 23rd March 1963

On this day in 1963, the 8th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest took place in London, the United Kingdom. Denmark took victory with Grethe & Jørgen Ingmann performing “Dansevise” and 42 points.
