Here at Eurovision Ireland, we are taking a historical look back on our favourite Contests past and present, on the very day they took place. Today it’s March 13th:

Saturday 13th March 2021

On this day in 2021, the 61st edition of Melodifestivalen took place in Stockholm. Tusse took victory with “Voices” and 175 points. At the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, Tusse finished 14th, with 109 points.

Saturday 13th March 2010

On this day in 2010, the 50th edition of Melodifestivalen took place in Stockholm. Anna Bergendahl took victory with “This Is My Life” and 214 points. At the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, Anna finished 11th in the second semi final, with 62 points.
