
KAN, the Israeli national broadcaster, have opened their song submission period, for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel.
On New Year’s Eve, KAN opened the song submission period for around 120 selected artists. They will have until Sunday 2nd February to submit their entries. The song submissions must adhere to the following rules:
- Each contacted artist may submit up to three songs.
- All submissions must include lyrics and melody. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
- Up to one non-Israeli citizen/resident writer or composers is allowed per submission. All other writers and composers must be Israeli citizens or residents.
- Songs can be in any language but they must include at least two lines in Hebrew.
The current series of HaKokhav HaBa is ongoing and the winner will represent Israel. The chosen entry that they will represent Israel with, will be revealed during a special programme on KAN 11, in March.
