
LTV, the Latvian national broadcaster, have confirmed song submissions for Supernova 2025 – their national selection for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel.
A total of 96 songs have been submitted for Supernova 2025 – 12 fewer than the 2024 edition. A jury of Latvian music experts and foreign professionals will select the entries to make the televised phased in February. The date/s for Supernova 2025 have yet to be revealed. Agnese Kubliņa, Head of the Entertainment and Documentary Content Editorial Department of LTV, had the following to say:
“Although the number of applications has not increased, the competition promises to be splendid and fierce. There is a wide spectrum of talent among the participants, representing various music genres – from already known names to brand new talents.
The show promises to be a real musical adventure! In addition, this year there are more surprises than ever before, proving that the Eurovision Song Contest is a unique opportunity to appeal to a huge audience around the world!”
