
This afternoon, the EBU, the European Broadcasting Union, announced that AMPTV, the Armenian national broadcaster, had been chosen to host the 2026 Eurovision Young Musicians, in Yerevan.
Further information such as the Contest date and venue will follow in the coming months. Hovhannes Movsisyan, AMPTV’s Director-General, had the following to say:
“It is a great honour for us to host Eurovision Young Musicians in Armenia. Alongside the EBU, we are committed to making Armenia the heart of classical music in 2026. We are excited to welcome the most gifted young musicians to our country.”
Jean Philip De Tender, the EBU’s Director of Media and Deputy Director-General, had the following to say:
“Eurovision Young Musicians is an incredible showcase of talent, creativity and diversity that unites people through music. We’re pleased to have Armenia hosting in 2026 and look forward to working together on an amazing event.”
