
İctimai TV, the Azeri national broadcaster, have confirmed the number of song submissions received for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel.
İctimai TV have received a total of 154 song submissions for 2025 – down from the 214 submissions received for the 2024 Contest. While the total submissions are down, the local artists to make submissions have risen by 6%, to 49%. İctimai TV had the following to say:
“This year, 154 applications for songs were registered for a chance to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Joyfully, the share of applications from local musicians increased from 43% to 49% compared to last year. Currently, the songs are in the process of mastering.”
