
ERR, the Estonian national broadcaster, have confirmed participation at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel.
ERR have launched Eesti Laul 2025 to select their entry for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest. For 2025, there will not be a Semi Final, only a Grand Final will be used – to be held on Saturday 15th February. The rules for Eesti Laul 2025 include:
- Songs must be submitted by 11:00 CEST, on Monday 21st October.
- Songs must not be longer than 3 minutes and must be original.
- Artists, composers and songwriters can submit up to five entries.
- At least one writer of an entry must be an Estonian citizen or resident. Performers do not have to be Estonian citizens or residents.
- The participation fee is €50 for Estonian-language songs and €100 for songs in other languages. On the last two days of the submission window (October 19th to 21st), the fee increases from €100 for Estonian-language songs and €200 for songs in other languages.
- The names of the selected artists and songs will be revealed no later than Monday 11th November. The songs will then be released no later than Friday 6th December.
- Any additional changes to songs must be made before Friday 13th December.
- All selected entries must have a music video, which must be sent to ERR by Monday 2nd December.
Sixteen songs will compete in Eesti Laul 2025. Fifteen chosen by a professional jury, with another chosen by the public. During the Grand Final, the first round of voting will see an international jury and the public vote for three songs to progress to a Super-Final. The winner of the Super-Final will be chosen by the public alone.
