SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, has revealed the number of song submissions for Melodifestivalen 2025 – their national selection for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel.

SVT have revealed that they have received 2,794 song submissions ahead of Melodifestivalen 2025. While the song submissions are up from 2,624 in 2024, they are still down from 2023 when 2,824 song submissions were received. Over the last five years, the following number of song submissions were made:

• 2025 – 2,794
• 2024 – 2,624
• 2023 – 2,824
• 2022 – 2,530
• 2021 – 2,747
