  • First night – All 24 artists will perform their competing songs. The top 5 will be announced in a random order.
  • Second night – The first 12 artists will perform their competing songs for a second time. The top 5 will be announced in a random order.
  • Third night – The other 12 artists will perform their competing songs for a second time. The top 5 will be announced in a random order.
  • Fourth night – The competing artists will perform a duet/cover of an already existing song. There will be a winner, but the results of this night will not be added to the overall result.
  • Fifth night – All 24 artists will perform their competing songs. The top 5 artists of the combined rankings of all the shows will advance to the Super Final. Here they will get to perform their song for a second time, while juries and a televote will decide the winner.

Carlo Conti, the new Host and Artistic Director of Festival di Sanremo, has announced the following changes for 2025:

“I’m bringing back the division between Nuove Proposte and Big artists. The Nuove Proposte will not increase the number of Big artists. They will have their competition and the Big artists will have theirs. The winner of Nuove Proposte will probably be announced on the Cover Night.

There will be no eliminations. It would be archaic. I don’t want to throw away the work of Baglioni and Amadeus, but make very small changes. I am working on my previous editions, also taking into account the great work done subsequently by Baglioni in his two editions and in the five extraordinary Amadeus festivals that made Sanremo grow.”

With these changes, it has been confirmed artists from Sanremo Giovani will not compete in the 2025 edition of Festival di Sanremo.
