It’s June and it’s Pride month. Here at Eurovision Ireland, we are going to highlight some of the LGBTQ+ artists to have participated in the Eurovision Song Contest.

For June 12th, we are continuing with Elín Eyþórsdóttir. She represented Iceland as part of Systur with “Með hækkandi sól”, taking 23rd place with 20 points. Elín Eyþórsdóttir is Lesbian. You can watch her performance of “Með hækkandi sól” below:

Lesbian refers to a woman who is attracted to women. Some women define themselves as gay rather than lesbian.
