🇫🇮 #JESC24: Finland Discuss Interest In Junior Eurovision

During the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final broadcast, Yle, the Finnish national broadcaster, discussed interest in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest during footage of last year’s Contest in Nice.

Finland have yet to participate at the Contest and yet to show any interest up until this point. Mikko Silvennoinen, the Finnish Commentator, at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo, had the following to say:

“There is also a children’s version of the Eurovision Song Contest, but neither Finland nor the Nordic countries have recently participated in it.

Junior Eurovision is very important in many countries and even Yle has considered participating, maybe one day it will be possible. These images (which appeared during the final of the Eurovision Song Contest) are from the Nice competition, where the UMK team was also present. The next event will take place in November in Madrid, where we definitely won’t go, but maybe one day.”
