The Russian Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives has revealed that fifteen countries are expected to participate in the 2024 Intervision Song Contest.

When the RETURN of Intervision was announced, participating countries would come from the BRIC & CIS nations, however the potential list of participating countries is now described as the ‘friendly countries’. Fifteen countries from the following are expected to join Russia, in Moscow:

• Azerbaijan
• China
• Colombia
• Cuba
• Belarus
• Bolivia
• Brazil
• Egypt
• Hungary
• India
• Kazakhstan
• Kyrgyzstan
• Mexico
• Pakistan
• Saudi Arabia
• Serbia
• Slovakia
• South Africa
• United Arab Emirates
• Uzbekistan
• Venezuela

The original participants list also featured the following countries – whether they are still welcome to participate is currently unclear:

• Armenia
• Ethiopia
• Iran
• Tajikistan
• Turkmenistan
