Welcome to our new ‘Top of the Pops’ charts – with a Eurovision twist! On a regular basis, we will bring you a new chart with a Eurovision theme. This week, we are celebrating the Top 25 Scoring Irish Entries Since 1975 ahead of Eurosong 2024. Today, we take a look at positions 15 to 11.

15: 2006 – Brian Kennedy, “Every Song is a Cry for Love”

Brian Kennedy represented Ireland at the 2006 Contest in Athens. Brian scored 93 points with the song “Every Song is a Cry for Love”, finishing in 10th place.

14: 1986 – Luv Bug, “You Can Count on Me”

Luv Bug represented Ireland at the 1986 Contest in Bergen. Luv Bug scored 96 points with the song “You Can Count on Me”, finishing in 4th place.

13: 1981 – Sheeba, “Horoscopes”

Sheeba represented Ireland at the 1981 Contest in Dublin. Sheeba scored 105 points with the song “Horoscopes”, finishing in 5th place.

12: 2011 – Jedward, “Lipstick”

Jedward represented Ireland at the 2011 Contest in Dusseldorf. Jedward scored 119 points with the song “Lipstick”, finishing in 8th place.

11: 1977 – The Swarbriggs Plus Two, “It’s Nice to be in Love Again”

The Swarbriggs Plus Two represented Ireland at the 1977 Contest in London. The Swarbriggs Plus Two scored 119 points with the song “It’s Nice to be in Love Again”, finishing in 3rd place. The Swarbriggs Plus Two features in 11th place after getting 4 sets of twelve points compared to Jedward’s 3.
