🇰🇿 #JESC23: Celebrating Our Kazakh Heroes

With ‘Heroes’ as the theme of the 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Nice, we will be celebrating the Heroes from previous editions of the Contest. Today, we look at the Heroes from Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan debuted at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Minsk. Daneliya Tuleshova participated with “Òzińe sen”, finishing in 6th place and 171 points.

Yerzhan Maksim represented Kazakhstan at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Gliwice. Yerzhan Maksim participated with “Armanyńnan qalma”, finishing in 2nd place and 227 points – Kazakhstan’s best position to date.

Karakat Bashanova represented Kazakhstan at the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Warsaw. Karakat Bashanova participated with “Forever”, finishing in 2nd place and 152 points – Kazakhstan’s best position to date.

Alinur Khamzin and Beknur Zhanibekuly represented Kazakhstan at the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Paris. Alinur Khamzin and Beknur Zhanibekuly participated with “Ertegı älemı (Fairy World)”, finishing in 8th place and 121 points.

David Charlin represented Kazakhstan at the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Yerevan. David Charlin participated with “Jer-Ana (Mother Earth)”, finishing in 15th place and 47 points – Kazakhstan’s most recent entry to date.
