Tonight, the first heat of Junior Eurovision Éire was broadcast. Six acts took to the stage with the hope of making the Semi Final of this year’s Contest. Each act was awarded a mark out of ten. The highest scoring act automatically went through to the Semi Final, while a sing-off selected the other Semi-Finalist.

Gillian Brennan went straight through to the Semi Final after scoring 29 stars, performing “And I Am Telling You”.

After the sing-off, Liza O’Neill went through to the Semi Final after performing “Driver’s License”.

Guest juror Brooke Scullion joined regular jury members Niamh Ní Chróinín and Aindriú de Paor to decide tonight’s result.
