
RÚV, the Icelandic national broadcaster, have confirmed that they will not be participating at the 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Nice.
While Iceland have yet to participate in the Contest, they have broadcast one edition of the Contest – in 2001. Rúnar Freyr Gíslason, RÚV Project Manager & Press Officer for the Icelandic Delegation, had the following to say:
“Unfortunately we won’t be participating this year, but of course we are always reconsidering.”
