RTVS, the Slovakian national broadcaster, have confirmed that they will not be participating at the 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Nice or the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest.

While Slovakia have yet to participate in the Contest, they have also not broadcast any edition of the Contest. Slavomira Kubickova, Head of International Relations for RTVS, had the following to say:

“RTVS does not consider participating in the Eurovision Song Contest or Junior Eurovision in the near future.”
