RTVSLO, the Slovenian national broadcaster, have announced that they will not compete at the upcoming 2022 Eurovision Young Musicians, in Montpellier. The decision is due to financial problems currently been experienced.

Slovenia was due to take part in the cancelled 2020 Contest and finished runners-up in 2018 when the Contest was held in Edinburgh.
