RTÉ, the Irish national broadcaster, has confirmed that there will be an Irish participation at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, in Italy.
Since 2016, Ireland used an internal selection, rather than a National Final – the selection route that was used since 1965. While it is unclear how the Irish entry will be chosen in 2022, Micheal Kealy, the Irish Head of Delegation, has HINTED at a possible return to a National Final.
