
During the duration of the Paralympic Games, which are been held in Tokyo, we will be taking a look at a different Eurovision country each day. Today we are looking at Denmark’s best Eurovision entry, after they took Silver in the Men’s Table Tennis Class 6 competition.
Denmark have made the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest a total of 44 times. In 1963, when the Contest took place in London, the United Kingdom, Denmark achieved their best position to date with a 1st place. Grethe & Jørgen Ingmann performed “Dansevise”and achieved a total of 42 points.
In 2000, when the Contest took place in Stockholm, Sweden, Denmark achieved another 1st place. The Olsen Brothers performed “Fly on the Wings of Love” and achieved a total of 195 points.
In 2013, when the Contest took place in Malmo, Sweden, Denmark achieved another 1st place. Emmelie de Forest performed “Only Teardrops” and achieved a total of 281 points.
