
During the duration of the Olympic Games, which are been held in Tokyo, we will be taking a different Eurovision country each day. Today we are looking at Georgia’s best Eurovision entry, after they took Gold in the Women’s 20km Race Walk Athletics competition.
Italy have made the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest a total of 46 times. In 1964, when the Contest took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, Italy achieved their best position to date with a 1st place. Gigliola Cinquetti performed “Non ho l’età” and achieved a total of 49 points.
In 1990, when the Contest took place in Zagreb, Yugoslavia, Italy achieved another 1st place. Toto Cutugno performed “Insieme: 1992” and achieved a total of 149 points.
In 2021, when the Contest took place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Italy achieved another 1st place. Måneskin performed “Zitti e buoni” and achieved a total of 524 points.
