During the duration of the Olympic Games, which are been held in Tokyo, we will be taking a different Eurovision country each day. Today we are looking at Slovenia’s best Eurovision entry, after they took Gold in the Men’s Individual Time Trial Cycling competition.
Slovenia have made the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest a total of 15 times. In 1995, when the Contest took place in Dublin, Ireland, Slovenia achieved their best position to date with a 7th place. Darja Švajger performed “Prisluhni mi” and achieved a total of 84 points.
In 2001, when the Contest took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, Slovenia achieved another 7th place. Nuša Derenda performed “Energy” and achieved a total of 70 points.
