
Liet International, the song contest for minority languages, will return next year after the Coronavirus pandemic prevented the event happening in both 2020 and 2021.
The 2022 edition of the Contest will take place in Tønder, Denmark on the 13th May, at the Schweizerhalle. The Contest will consist of thirteen entries. Four of the entries will be chosen from:
- One will be chosen from the Frisian Contest, Liet 2021
- One will represent the German minority, from Denmark
- One will represent the Frisian minority, from Germany
- One will represent the Danish minority, from Germany
The other nine entries will be chosen from other submissions. There submission period will close on October 31st and a Jury will select the nine competing entries in November.
Cornwall won the last Liet International in 2018. The Rowan Tree took victory with their Cornish language entry “Tresor”.
