Following the host city submission deadline last night, when we knew FOUR of the potential Host Cities, RAI, the Italian national broadcaster have revealed that 17 official bids were submitted. Seven cities, five provincial capitals and five municipalities are on the list.

They are:

• Acireale
• Alessandria
• Bertinoro di Romagna
• Bologna
• Genoa
• Florence
• Jesolo
• Matera
• Milan
• Palazzolo Acreide
• Pesaro
• Rimini
• Rome
• Sanremo
• Turin
• Trieste
• Viterbro

The Host City bids will now be examined by RAI and the EBU. An announcement in who the Host City will be in 2022 is expected by the end of August.
