
The UEFA 2020 European Championships are here after a postponement of one year – more commonly known as Euro 2020. Each day, we will upload tracks into our Jukebox articles, to accompany the matches played on that day. Today sees three matches – Finland vs. Russia, Turkey vs. Wales and Italy vs. Switzerland.
Finland – “Dark Side”
Blind Channel represented Finland at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Blind Channel sang “Dark Side” and finished in 6th place, with a total of 301 points.
Russia – “A Million Voices”
Polina Gagarina represented Russia at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria. Polina sang “A Million Voices” and finished in 2nd place, with a total of 122 points.
Turkey – “We Could Be The Same”
maNga represented Turkey at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, Norway. maNga sang “We Could Be The Same” and finished in 2nd place, with a total of 170 points.
Wales (UK) – “Believe in Me”
Bonnie Tyler represented the United Kingdom at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo, Sweden. Bonnie sang “Believe in Me” and finished in 19th place, with a total of 23 points.
Italy – “Insieme: 1992”
Toto Cutugno represented Italy at the 1990 Eurovision Song Contest in Zagreb, Yugoslavia. Toto sang “Insieme: 1992” and finished in 1st place, with a total of 149 points.
Switzerland – “Refrain”
Lys Assia represented Switzerland at the 1956 Eurovision Song Contest in Lugano, Switzerland. Lys sang “Refrain” and finished in 1st place, with a total of unknown points.
