No P4 Nästa 2021 finalists will be chosen as the usual wildcard for Melodifestivalen 2022 this year. SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, have confirmed the wildcard agreement has been paused for this year.

Since 2012, when a wildcard has been chosen from P4 Nästa, not one has progressed to the Andra Chansen round of Melodifestivalen. It is yet to be seen whether or not that the wildcard agreement is a one year pause or permanently ended.
