Over the course of April and May, on the lead up to the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that are participating this year in Rotterdam. Today, we celebrate Serbia.
Serbia debuted at the Contest in 2007, in Helsinki, Finland. Marija Šerifović finished in first place with her entry “Molitva”, scoring 268 points. This included nine sets of twelve points from Austria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Finland, Hungary, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia and Switzerland. Serbia’s debut is also their most successful entry to date.
The most recent Serbian entry was due to be in 2020, when the cancelled Contest was due to take place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Hurricane was due to represent Serbia with their entry “Hasta la vista”.
This year, Serbia will be represented by Hurricane with their song “Loco Loco”. Will Hurricane take Serbia to their second victory?
