While revealing details about their 2021 national selection, the German broadcasters NDR and KIKA revealed that the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held on Sunday 28th November. No Host City in France has been announced yet.

NDR and KIKA will put together a multimedia national selection production this year. During the summer, live casting will take in front of a jury, who will preselect an unspecified number of finalists. These finalists will be put forward to a public online vote. In their inaugural participation, the nation selection was completed internally without any public influence.
